Lu used his XRAY XB2C and minipin tires with 5.5T motor. The traction improved after morning. The best tracion was at noon time and then started to drop slowly at the end of the afternoon. During the 1st round of preliminary, he was not satisfied with the lap time, but performed very consistently. Although he kept P1 for over 4 mins, the distance between him and the 2nd place was closer and closer - the difference was around 1 second. Thus, he tried his best in the last 2 laps, made a best lap time of 16.3s and kept the 1st position. He switched to a new set of rear tires at the 2nd round of preliminary. At the beginning, he was still at the 1st place. However, he made a mistake at the straight. He was too fast to handle the power provided with the new rear tires and 5.5T motor. The 2WD car went out of control and turned over, so he lost the chance to get the 1st position and got the 3rd place finally in this round. His performance was very good and consistent at the 3rd round of preliminary where he made a good lap time of 15.8s and got the TQ.

He was little nervous in the 1st round of final held in the afternoon but performed smoothly. The distance between the other cars was still too close. After several laps, there was a crash between the 2nd and the 3rd car. So, he used this chance to widen the distance and got the 1st place in this round. As the traction was decreased, he used a new set of rear tires, and got the 1st placein the 2nd round of final. During the 3rd round of final, his car was affected by the other cars and turned over in the track two times. He did not give up and put great effort to chase the cars ahead, passed the car one by one, and was up to 2nd place.

At that moment, as the 1st car was our XRAY team driver âśJimmy Qianâť, Lu Yi Heng just kept the 2nd place at the end of this round. Finally, Lu Yi Heng won the TQ and A1, Jimmy Qian got the 1st runner-up. It was a perfect end to the SMP Buggy Race. Lu Yi Heng performed very well and the performance of XB2 2016 carpet was stable and good. It was a perfect match too.
